At the Gallery
“The spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act“
Marcel Duchamp

This work is about the act of looking. Museums and art galleries offer us the opportunity to look not only at the works on display, but also, to observe others viewing those works. I am interested by the reactions between gallery visitors and the objects they have come to see. Some pass quickly by, some quietly contemplate, some study carefully over minutes and hours. Others simply take a selfie and move on.
All prints are archival pigment ink on Canson Platine Photo Rag, 30 x 20cm
