Artist’s Statement
I am a photographer and printmaker based in Felpham, West Sussex, in the UK.
My work explores the contemporary landscape; how that landscape has been affected by those who have gone before us and how it impacts the lives of those who occupy it today.
Whilst my photography is shaped by my research, I am equally conscious of the aesthetic quality of my work. In a world overcrowded with imagery, I believe that the visual stimulation of my audience is an essential precursor to their intellectual and emotional engagement. I use both digital and traditional darkroom methods in the execution of my work.

Brief Bio
Following my retirement in 2014 I started to develop my photographic practice and in 2022 received my MA (Distinction) in Photography from the University of Brighton.
I am a member of Independent Photography in the South-East of England (IPSE) and part of the Iris Collective, a group of lens-based visual artists who graduated from the University of Brighton MA Photography programme.
